Emerge Anew: Therapeutic Integrative Nutrition Guidance
Hi, I’m Debbie McGinley
I help women going through the menopause transition, who are experiencing fatigue, unexplained weight gain, low libido, stress and anxiety, feel like their younger self; full of life and energy.
Going Through Perimenopause
Let’s face it, as a woman you are constantly going through hormonal changes starting at birth. In fact, you have the opportunity to experience five hormonal stages in your lifetime: puberty, pregnancy, post-partum, perimenopause, and menopause. No matter what stage of life you are in, hormones affect you daily, contributing to unwanted and unexplained symptoms — some that aren’t always obvious.
It’s hard enough getting by day to day when you struggle with sleep due to your symptoms of weight gain, hot flashes and night sweats, or stress and anxiety which seems to get worse especially when it’s time to shut down. You’re up all night staring at dark walls, wondering when your body is going to shut down so you can get just a few hours of sleep. You finally crash right before dawn, only to have to wake up and begin your day. It’s a vicious cycle.
Perhaps you feel inadequate as a partner or that something is wrong with you. Your libido, along with your energy levels, are nonexistent. Where once you had a lot of motivation to be productive, you now struggle to complete a task and often times are left feeling defeated. You’re exhausted, frustrated and you just want to feel good about yourself. You want to feel like your old self, full of life and energy.
This is a time where it is important to balance hormones – cortisol, progesterone, estrogen, testosterone, thyroid – so you can wake up feeling energized and like your younger self instead of broken. How? The truth is there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Too many factors play a role in hormonal health. Factors such as diet, gut microbiome, exercise, stress, sleep, emotional well-being, other medical conditions and medications, environmental factors, and even genetics.
There are nutritional, lifestyle, and supplemental interventions you can employ to minimize symptoms and balance your hormones. These interventions help restore energy levels, improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, support weight loss, decrease the hot flashes and night sweats, and increase libido.
Wouldn’t it be nice to just wake up and feel like yourself? Schedule a 15-minute free strategy session to learn more about how I can support you in designing a program that works for you!
Services
My services are offered in a program format. This program is a strategic process which incorporates a free 15-minute strategy session, a 90-minute intake, and bi-weekly 45-minute follow-up sessions that take place over the course of 6 or 12 months. I work in a program format because change takes time, as do results, and most markers take at least 3 months to demonstrate change.
